i survived the mixer. wasnt so bad. except that there were way too many people there. way too many. and by people i mean sluts. we hung out in the caf for like, the whole time. we went into the gym like once. seriously. the dance was in the gym, but the party was in the caf! we hackeyed, there was some twister going on (i'm totally bringing twister to the winter ball or junior prom!!!) matt picked me up then we headed over his house. got kev/grub, ate on the run, picked up g and andy. stalled for time at andys... alas, we left before the mission was truly accomplished. but i got to meet mr and mrs g. very nice! and ohhhh the dog, lily. golden retriever. and the cat that andy matt and kev named dinner. such a pretty kitty. i was never ever a cat person at all, seeing as how i'm allergic to them and whatnot... so we left around 730. the doors were supposedly only open from 7-730. we didnt get there until 745. there was a huge ass line to get in still, it was redonkulusly chaotic. people everywhere. i suddenly felt very insecure. hendi probably made at least 5 grand last night, seriously. (@ $6 a ticket) but yeah so most of the evening was spent laughing and hacking.

i found it yesterday whilst on the phone with rye right before the mixture. i thought it was a dead bird. i showed my sister, and she's like jess, thats a bat. i. flipped. out. sure enough, upon further examination (by mom), it was determined to truly be a bat!!! he sneaks in because of my air conditioner. at this point, we cant really tell what window panes he's in between, but he leaves every once in a while. like last night. came home from the mixer, and he was gone. *happy jess* watches conan. ('the cone zone') i crawl into my bed. decide to check just to make sure he's still gone. open shade. he's back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i screamed. ((shudder)) madre y padre were consulted. i determined that i was sleeping on the couch. i took a picture this morning of him... ill post it later.

right now i'm off for some shopping with my auntie trish and josh. later tonight- to a suburb of boston with the family ot visit my dad's friend. im kind of bummed because i was supposed to go to steph mc and bill mac's fiesta. :-/
